A person’s arrogance may blind him to truth in such a way he acquires an unfalsifiable bias against it … like trying to read a traffic sign with the sun directly behind it.
It’s commonly known if the narcissist eye-witnesses an event his ego can’t handle, he will deny it happened.
Some people are indirectly blinded by the conceit of others and can’t see the truth for the glare … like trying to read house numbers while snowblind. Included in this category are may highly educated RINOs, lawyers, and prominent personalities.

Now I hears talkin’ about de Constitution and de rights of man. I comes up and I takes hold of dis Constitution. it looks mighty big, and I feels for my rights, but der aint any dare. Den, I says, God, what ails dis Constitution? He says to me, “Sojourner, dere is a little weasel in it.”
I carry no weapon; the Lord will reserve [i.e., preserve] me without weapons, I feel safe even in the midst of my enemies; for the truth is powerful and will prevail.
Americans, take your eyes off your selves and your cultural idols … seek instead truth. You know where to find it – in the words of our nation’s historical elders and founders.
