An unfalsifiable bias against truth …

July 31, 2010

A person’s arrogance may blind him to truth in such a way he acquires an unfalsifiable bias against it … like trying to read a traffic sign with the sun directly behind it.

It’s commonly known if the narcissist eye-witnesses an event his ego can’t handle, he will deny it happened.

Some people are indirectly blinded by the conceit of others and can’t see the truth for the glare … like trying to read house numbers while snowblind. Included in this category are may highly educated RINOs, lawyers, and prominent personalities.

Children, I talks to God and God talks to me. I goes out and talks to God in de fields and de woods. Dis morning I was walking out, and I got over de fence. I saw de wheat a holding up its head, looking very big. I goes up and takes holt ob it. You b’lieve it, dere was no wheat dare? I says, God, what is de matter wid dis wheat? and he says to me, “Sojourner, dere is a little weasel in it.”

Now I hears talkin’ about de Constitution and de rights of man. I comes up and I takes hold of dis Constitution. it looks mighty big, and I feels for my rights, but der aint any dare. Den, I says, God, what ails dis Constitution? He says to me, “Sojourner, dere is a little weasel in it.”

I carry no weapon; the Lord will reserve [i.e., preserve] me without weapons, I feel safe even in the midst of my enemies; for the truth is powerful and will prevail.

Sojourner Truth

Americans, take your eyes off your selves and your cultural idols … seek instead truth. You know where to find it – in the words of our nation’s historical elders and founders.

Chi’len, you listen to ol’ Sojourner, “You know dere a bunch dem weasels in Washington!”

Is there a Tiger in our tank …

July 29, 2010

Institutionalizing socialism in our culture is like introducing Tiger Fish into a fresh water lake.

The Tiger eats and eats and eats until it eaten its way through all the other species in the lake – then it turns on its own.

If the current trend of the Obama administration continues, we can expect to see them turn on each other at some point. I can’t wait to see that!

Vetting the American Narrative – Imperative …

January 16, 2010

Geoffrey P. Hunt, writing in the American Thinker, revealed something about our sitting president which ought to warn Americans about the men and women we allow to nurse at the public teat, regardless of their political affiliations or persuasions.

Obama doesn’t have a narrative.  No, not a narrative about himself.  He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else.  But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn’t connect with us.  He doesn’t have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us.

In this country,  as to possession of an American narrative, voters must vet those who want to serve. That, in my mind, is what electrified us about Sarah Palin. A cursory exam of President Reagan would quickly show his.

Do we really want people without a connection to the historical American family serving in public office? Nay, I say, nay!

A review of this country’s greatest political debacles would show poisonous shrubs, absent healthy roots.
