An unfalsifiable bias against truth …

July 31, 2010

A person’s arrogance may blind him to truth in such a way he acquires an unfalsifiable bias against it … like trying to read a traffic sign with the sun directly behind it.

It’s commonly known if the narcissist eye-witnesses an event his ego can’t handle, he will deny it happened.

Some people are indirectly blinded by the conceit of others and can’t see the truth for the glare … like trying to read house numbers while snowblind. Included in this category are may highly educated RINOs, lawyers, and prominent personalities.

Children, I talks to God and God talks to me. I goes out and talks to God in de fields and de woods. Dis morning I was walking out, and I got over de fence. I saw de wheat a holding up its head, looking very big. I goes up and takes holt ob it. You b’lieve it, dere was no wheat dare? I says, God, what is de matter wid dis wheat? and he says to me, “Sojourner, dere is a little weasel in it.”

Now I hears talkin’ about de Constitution and de rights of man. I comes up and I takes hold of dis Constitution. it looks mighty big, and I feels for my rights, but der aint any dare. Den, I says, God, what ails dis Constitution? He says to me, “Sojourner, dere is a little weasel in it.”

I carry no weapon; the Lord will reserve [i.e., preserve] me without weapons, I feel safe even in the midst of my enemies; for the truth is powerful and will prevail.

Sojourner Truth

Americans, take your eyes off your selves and your cultural idols … seek instead truth. You know where to find it – in the words of our nation’s historical elders and founders.

Chi’len, you listen to ol’ Sojourner, “You know dere a bunch dem weasels in Washington!”

Sorry, no rivers here …

July 29, 2010

As we approach another national election it might be good to remember how a politician is defined:

“[A politician is] one who promises to build bridges where there are no rivers.

— Nikita Khrushchev (edited)

If he promises to build a drawbridge where there is no river or shipping, he is the incumbent.

Social justology – someone call HAZMAT …

More piffle from the administration of piffle.

Social justice is revealing its ugly head everywhere we turn nowadays – in this case at the EPA.

This is what happens when academics dominate an administrations bureaucratic rosters (only 8% of Obama’s cabinet has private sector experience). Academics live in a theoretical construct and have difficulty grasping the simple realities of life and times.

Social justology is simply regurgitated classroom/textbook theory, nothing more.

Prepare your selves for knee-deep piffle. Vote them out in 2010 and 2012.

Don’t spin when you blow it …

July 28, 2010

Politics is no nap in the shade of a fig tree, those who enter the game should know the rules.

I appreciate candidate Buck’s frustration with those who can’t focus on the big picture [birthers] but there’s no excuse for spin when you blow it. Especially when your error has huge consequences.

Politicians and pundits need to understand – for many Americans the man in the White House is illegitimate … respect that fact and respect them as well.

The question for those of us who are rational, as opposed to emotional, it’s a question of Constitutional Law that needs to be resoved before it’s too late.

It may be too late already.

Meet my mind-mate …

Let me introduce you to Burt Prelutsky, a extraordinary blogger/thinker. Burt is an anomaly in Hollywood, he’s a conservative Patriot.

I have yet to encounter a single post by Burt which was unintelligible or out of sync with my worldview (not that I’m the standard) … and every one was better than what I could have written … I highly recommend him (links to Burt’s blog and his “I used to love America more” post).

Wolf to Red Riding Hood – “I am not a wolf!”

” … the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.” Matthew 15:18-19 [see below for quote in context]

In his diatribe to the Republican Caucus (January 2010) President Obama declared, “I am not an ideologue!” (stunned silence follows with isolated chuckles) “I’m not!” He pleaded.

Well, he is free in this country (at least for the time being) to declare or deny anything he wants but truth is unchanging … ask Christ declares above.

Sorry Barak, you are what you present yourself to be … an ideologue is “One given to fanciful ideas or theories” [Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary, © 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc.]

Jesus said, “Are you still lacking in understanding also? Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.” Matthew 15:16-20
