He ain’t finished yet …

July 29, 2010

I’ve been taping and finishing drywall. The walls in the room I’m working on are smooth, no texture. That reminds me of why I love texturing – because it covers a multitude of sins.

I’m no pro so it takes hours to get all of the wrinkles and pits out of the finished surface. You discover your mistakes by shining a hand-held light up the wall with the room dark.

Sort of like God shining His Light on us and finding all our faults, unless we’re covered in the Lamb’s Blood.

… you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

“..this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.” 1 John 5:4b
